Homeward bound

I am sitting on the airplane on the way to Minneapolis. It is bitter sweet. I have had a wonderful time and am sad to leave the people I love in Arizona and Utah. But I am also super excited to see the people I love in Sweden. I am spending the flight by writing in the sister journal. Kind of like the sisterhood of the traveling pants but a journal instead. I love my sisters. It is great to share all this with them.
Now onward to new adventures, whatever that might be.

San Francisco continued

I'm still in San Fransisco. Things I have done the last couple of days involve shopping and walking, lots of walking. On saturday night we went to chinatown. It was alot of fun and we ended it with dinner at an authentic chinese resturant, i say authentic because it was just us and a bunch of chinese people in there at first, althought, I do actually consider myself chinese, occationally.
On sunday we went to church gollowed by a very sunday appropriate nap. Then we went down to the pier again. We mer up with kelli at pier 33 and from there got on the boat to go to alcatraz. It was a beautiful ride, and windy. The tour if alcatraz was so well thought through and very pleasant. I know, weird right, that you can find a tour of a former federal prison pleasant, but it was. We had audio clmmentary by people who either worked there or used to be inmates. After the tour we walked around the island and took quite a few pictures.

We cane back to San Francisco and had dinner, spagetti salmon, delicious! And the off we went to ghirardelli square. Its apparently world famous chocolate. I am not too fond of chocolate but I still enjoyed it. At first we thought we came too late and that there was only this little chocolate gift shop open but as we entered it we realized it was mot just a gift shop, it was a chicolate bar, serving hot fudhe sunday's:) so we got one. Then we found a bus (to my relief) and went home.

Today is my last day, I haven't really been up for doing anything special, my mins is at home. Arizona tonight and then on to sweden tomorrow. Bitter-sweet.

San Francisco

I am in San Fransisco. It is great. We got here on Thursday, feels kind of like I have been here forever, in a good way.

I have seen the golden gate bridge and taken the mandatory touristy pictures. I have been at pier 39 and fishermans warf, it is so fun there, so much to see.
Yesterday morning we walked to Lombard street, it is special to me, one of my favorite movies is What's up Doc and It was all recorded in San Francisco and there were several times I saw things that reminded me of that movie. Mostly Lombard street, there is a scence with a car chase down Lombard Street.

The highligt so far was last night. We saw Imagine Dragons, on the pier, outside and it was magical. But the trip is not over, we have chinatown tonight and alcatraz tomorrow and many other things to see. Let's just say it this way, I am having a blast!

Sleeping like a princess

This is where I sleep nowadays. I painted the bed and mom made the new sheets. I feel like a princess everytime I go to bed!

I have grown to love second-hanf stores. I love finsug items and then fix them up and make them new. Here is a chest I found and painted and is now a perfect piece of storage in my room.

Home-made

I found this candle-stick in the US and just fell in love with it.

My mom found a lamp at a second-hand store and figured i could paint it with the candle-stick as inspiration. This is the result:

Homeward bound

A week and a half in norway done. It has been great. Taking care of little kids and having quality time with my closest friend and cousin. I really lucked out when I was born in to the family I have! Norway as a country isn't so bad either. I have a couple of jobs here I am applying to so who knows, I might return. I am coming home to a house of preparations. Preparing my baby brothers farewell. He's going on a mission to Finland. Then preparing my sisters wedding. So yeah, there is much to do!
